Connect In Events Summer Highlights 2018 

During a 6 week period this summer, the Connect In Events team successfully designed, developed and delivered 20+ events across the UK ranging from a small city centre drinks reception to a Beach Club themed summer party. Take a look at some of the highlights from our summer 2018…

Outdoor Summer Festival 

The Connect In Team was challenged to raise the bar by a new client for their annual summer family fun day. Their staff had previously become dis engaged with the event but the client knew how important it is to reward their staff & families.

So from fairy lights and picture-perfect tepees to total wipeout style team building challenge, Connect In Events really pulled out all of the stops to make sure the rebooted summer party would be one to remember. Before we knew it, the client had their very own Glastonbury with 400+ people attending.

This funfair-inspired summer shindig truly was a treat for all of those involved. There were dodgems, inflatable gladiators and plenty of live music to keep everyone entertained.

 

Tpas National Tenants Conference 

Connect In Events have now been working for Tpas for nearly 10 years and were again retained to deliver their annual conference in Warwickshire. Each year we are tasked with not only keeping the conference fresh and current but also selling the delegate places and sponsorship.

We were extremely pleased with the end result this year of a sharp increase in delegate numbers and sponsorship money. More important though the delegate satisfaction rate reached over 90% for the 5th year in a row. Take a look at some of the highlights from the 2 days

Staff Conference & Awards (Equity)

Over a 6-month period we worked closely with a Housing Association client to deliver their staff conference. It was the first time they had got all their staff together for nearly 3 years after under going a major restructure and cultural changes in the past 18 months.

The programme for the day needed to be engaging so their staff took all the messages back into the work place – with a smile on their face. The Connect In Team successfully designed, developed & delivered the whole day and we are looking forward to 2019’s conference already.

Beach Club Themed Summer Party

Connect In Events love to raise the bar for our client’s year on year and this event was no exception. Having been retained to organise the 2018 summer party, a staff reward for our clients 8 European Offices, we searched the whole country to find the perfect & cost effective venue and then over the following 7 months we designed and developed the whole day. This included an afternoon of team building and then a Beach Club themed party till the early hours.

From Daft Punk to Dancing Mirror Men, we went all out on this showstopping summer party to make sure the staff had the feeling of partying in Dubai, Miami and Vegas all in one. Watch the short video to see the full event in all its glory.

Staff Conference & Awards (One Manchester)

Connect In Events have been working with a Manchester based Housing Association for 9 years now and have shared their journey over this time by organising their all staff events ranging from staff conferences to merger briefings. For this years staff conference we were tasked in finding a new venue to host over 450 people and also have space for an after party to celebrate a successful year.   Connect In were also tasked with organising guest management, managing the website registration process, developing the conference programme and creative video content. The Tpas Awards

The annual Tpas Awards showcases the compelling and inspirational success stories of tenants, landlords and contractors working together across the communities of England. Connect In Events have worked with Tpas for 9 years organising and developing these awards that celebrate and reward the people, ideas and organisations that shape the tenant involvement work of tomorrow.

Christmas Party and Staff Annual Awards (Wythenshawe)

Christmas is a time for celebration and one of our clients likes us to pull out all the stops by always tasking the Connect In Events team each year with going the extra mile to produce a party like no other. Last year we took 7 of their employees and made them stars for the afternoon starring in front of 550 of their colleagues in their very own X Factor style stage show. Its fair to say it the event was a huge success and this can be judged by the fact they are repeating it again this year.

The event also included the client’s annual awards and also the announcement they had achieved IIP Platinum status, we are delighted to have been part of their journey to achieving this over the past 9 years or so.

 

Christmas Party (One Manchester)

This time every year Connect In Events have the pleasure of creating and project managing our clients end of year Conference and Christmas Party. The difference being this time round they wanted to go for a less formal affair in the afternoon, which meant we swapped the usual conference space for a relaxed venue to hold their staff briefing.

A change in venue didn’t mean a low key affair – we had it all….a magician, a stage performance from Twisted Tubes, a Christmas themed DJ set, a performance from pop rock band The Void and a hugely successful raffle packed with a fabulous list of prizes.

 

BC Live Awards

2017 was Connect In Events’ first year designing and delivering The Builders Conference annual Awards and it certainly won’t be our last! The crux of the brief given was to create an entirely new and fresh format to Builders Conference’s networking Christmas drinks and to create and include an awards ceremony.

Connect In Events went above and beyond by delivering another successful event at The Savoy.

 

Girls Out Loud – Shining Stars Ball 

Connect In Events were given a big task with this event, covering every aspect – venue finding, entertainment sourcing, tech and social media support, prizes, goodie bags, auctions, catering, table plans, speakers, sponsorship, social media, delegate management and more!

Connect In Events ensured, without fail, that Girls Out Loud founder Jane Kenyon and all guests were looked after to the last detail. Guests enjoyed a three course meal with an elegant dessert tailored to Girls Out Loud – something which we pride ourselves in here at Connect In Events is by fine tuning every single aspect of the client and guest experience, the little details really do count!

 

Charity Boxing Nights 

Connect In Events have organised in partnership with Ric Moylan for the past 3 years a hugely successful night of white-collar boxing in aid of St Mary’s New-born Intensive Care Unit. The 3 events to date have raised over £100k for the charity. It gets bigger, better and more spectacular every year with a sell out 500 guests attending check out the highlights film from the last event.
